Incoming message

Sent when a customer messages your number. This includes taps on your buttons and lists, reactions, orders and shared locations.

  • messages[].type says what kind of message it is, and the field with the same name holds the content.
  • contacts[].profile.name is the customer's WhatsApp name; from is their number (wa_id). Reply to it.
  • Files arrive as a media id. Download them promptly.
  • Each incoming message opens or restarts the customer's 24-hour window.

Header Parameters

X-HostMentor-Signature*string

Proves the request came from HostMentor. t is the send time and v1 an HMAC-SHA256 of t, a full stop and the raw body, signed with your signing secret. See Check the signature.
